Greg was born on July 22, 1954, in Oak Park, IL. He was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois in 1980. He has since been admitted to the Northern District's Trial Bar, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and several other federal districts in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1977. He received his law degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology's Chicago Kent College of Law in 1980.

Greg began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office (Chicago, Illinois) where he tried complex white collar cases. Prior to starting this firm, he was the Assistant Corporate Counsel and Litigation Attorney for a national franchisor, the Comprehensive Accounting Corporation. He is a member of the Chicago, Illinois State, and American Bar Associations. He is active in the American Bar Association's Forum Committee On Franchising. He is a member of the International Franchise Association (IFA) and its Counsel of Franchise Suppliers (CFS). He is also an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.  His practice areas include franchise litigation, anti-counterfeiting litigation, trademark brand integrity and protection.
